“Rightfully agree”? I'm not at all certain what that actually may mean.
I will answer in this way though, our species originated in Africa! To that extent, yes. This is an absolute fact!
Notwithstanding, calling everyone an African is not only a silly euphemism, but it is also irresponsible and sets a dangerous precedent! Mark me, this notion ( which no doubt) is politically motivated does violence to world history itself!
The thrust here is African resources and a sense of entitlements to African wealth and or ignorance by those who'd propagate so thin an “idea” so do not be deceived.
Africa is home to the oldest and the most genetically diverse human population in the world. There are 3000 tribes, 2000 African languages and 2000 dialects of those African languages! No set of people on Earth could make this claim and make it stick!! To this, I “rightfully agree!”
The most common African genetic markers are Haplogroup “E” Family and it's various subclades. The are haplogroup A, B, D, E, L and it's subclades and so on!
Skin pigment ( a polymer) is related to proximity to the equator, environment and African and Middle Eastern latitudes.
Africans migrated off of their contingent 70,000 (OOA) ago becoming the first humans in the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and Europe
That said, ONLY the Africans are African. The rest of us are ONLY their distant children which is distinct from being African direct descendants!
It is hoped that you are aware of these glaring singularities!

We are all African in that the human species originated in Africa, for the most part.
That doesn’t mean we are all modern Africans, and there is no difference. When people left Africa, the people left behind did not stop evolving, every population on earth is still under genetic selection. Humans in Africa have experienced significant demographic change, some of which we do not even understand.
Africans are not fossils of ancient humans that left Africa, not even Khoi-san (Bushman), that is 100% false. Everyone continued to evolve.
People outside of Africa are simply a subset of the total genetic diversity of Africa at that time. That genetic diversity was not frozen in time, it no longer exists as it did then, now it is different, because it continued to evolve in various directions.

No.
- We would be several Africans. Otherwise, there’s no “we”, just “I”, and I’m not that crazy yet. I am not a brain in a jar, I am convinced you other people exist and I’m not in the Matrix.
- I was born in the United States. Last I checked, that wasn’t part of Africa. I do accept and embrace the premise that my distant ancestors way back when lived in Africa, and I fully embrace and endorse the fact that I am one flesh and one blood with everyone else on the planet, including Africans and those of recent African descent.
- I don’t think race is a thing, except as a construct we human beings created to distinguish between inherited skin and hair types. Mostly meaningless distinctions that we obsess over, only relevant today in my mind because of racists out there making it a problem for others. If there were no racism, we would probably stop talking about race entirely. It would just be called “ancestry”.

The great thing about science is — I don’t have to agree. Or disagree. Opinions do NOT matter in science, only facts. And as I understand the research, yes, humanity’s origins are in Africa. So in some sense, we all have African roots — whether you or I or anyone believes it or not.
